We founded Twistle to help healthcare providers improve outcomes by keeping patients engaged, informed, and satisfied while they receive treatment. We want to eliminate the communication barriers between all of the stakeholders involved in a patient’s care. Instead of allocating resources to manually calling and emailing patients and performing other repetitive administrative duties, healthcare providers should be free to focus on innovation, improving the patient experience, and reducing costs. Twistle increases patient satisfaction, reduces no-shows, lowers administrative burdens, and dramatically lowers readmission rates. We want Twistle to coordinate patients’ healthcare needs – not just those undergoing treatments for chronic conditions or under team-based models, but everyone who has an interest in their health and well being.
What We Do
Even in the digital age, many doctors still communicate with patients via antiquated, manual processes such as paper handouts, fax machines, and landline phone calls. These processes make it difficult to track and ensure patient adherence even in the simplest of cases – and their ineffectiveness is amplified when treating complex conditions. Twistle combines IoT (Internet of Things), mobile communications, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into a unified, streamlined platform that automatically pushes personalized information to patients to make it easier for them to get the care they need. Our platform promotes patient adherence to prep instructions, appointments, therapies and medication, leading to better outcomes, including higher clinical quality and safety.
Who We Are
Chief Executive Officer, Founder
Kulmeet spent the last decade in healthcare IT strategy, M&A, and product creation. This started when he founded Medremote, a company focused on changing the economics of medical transcription by using the Internet and speech recognition. He has degrees in Economics from the University of Chicago and in Computer Science from Columbia.
Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder
Dave has spent over 15 years in Healthcare IT, leading software development and deployment over a wide range of technology and product areas, with a special focus on mobile apps and interoperability. Prior to joining Twistle, Dave spent over 8 years at Albany Medical Center in upstate New York as Director of IT Services. Dave has a background in software engineering and holds a BS in Information Systems from the State University of New York.
William DePaso, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Bill is an internal medicine physician who has practiced pulmonary, sleep disorders and administrative medicine for 35 years. He brings to Twistle, a passion for improving healthcare delivery utilizing a clinician’s approach to the lean management/process improvement tools of the Toyota Production System.
Chief Revenue Officer
Sukhi has spent over 15 years in the enterprise software industry, launching new products and business models, developing strategy and managing high growth teams. He co-founded OpsTechnology, the leading provider of Spend Management Solutions to the real estate industry. The venture-backed company was sold to privately-held RealPage where he continued to serve as the SVP and President of Spend Management Solutions. Sukhi was part of the management team that took RealPage public on the NASDAQ (RP). Sukhi has served as an active advisor, investor and board member to several enterprise mobile, software, services and hardware startups.
VP of Product and R&D
Shounak has spent extensive time in India working in both healthcare and education. Prior to joining Twistle, he spent over a decade managing the education of street children in Kolkata. At Twistle, he leads the population health education and awareness initiatives that are being implemented in India, as well the efforts to build solutions for automating healthcare using artificial intelligence.
Director of Marketing
Brad spent the last 10 years developing advertising, communication, and marketing strategies for a variety of brands, start-ups and industries, including healthcare, health and wellness, technology, software, hospitality and tourism. Brad’s work has been recognized at the national level by the American Advertising Federation, including Best of Show and B2B Campaign of the Year. Brad holds a BA in Rhetoric, Media and Technology from Willamette University and a Creative Advertising Degree from AdHouse NYC.

Norma has over 25 years of experience leading large IT programs, service management and project delivery. Her background includes IT business process outsourcing, software development, healthcare, government, and manufacturing industry verticals. Norma has an extensive background in PMI-based and Agile Project Management, ITIL Service Management, Process Improvement – Lean and Six Sigma.
Director of UX
Aaron has over fourteen years of experience creating user-focused software.` His work has included both enterprise software at Microsoft as the User Experience Program Manager for Visual Studio and consumer software as the mobile architect for NBC News Digital. In Aaron’s spare time, he maintains the open-source transit app OneBusAway for iOS, which is used by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide.
