Twistle COVID-19 Surveillance Program
Since the first confirmed case in the U.S., there has been growing concern over the impact of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
In an effort to help hospitals maintain safe, effective ways to monitor their personnel and patients who may be exposed to the virus, Twistle has partnered with St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, one of six Michigan hospitals supporting the Special Pathogen Response Network within the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, to develop an automated surveillance care plan.
Twistle and COVID-19 Surveillance
Twistle’s automated surveillance tool reduces the burden on clinicians to keep track of at-risk patients and providers through secure text messaging, interactive voice response, or patient portals— all HIPAA-compliant, with no app downloads required. As our nation prepares for the spread of COVID-19, Twistle can support public health and population health initiatives in three ways:
1. COVID-19 monitoring workflow for healthcare workers
2. COVID-19 monitoring workflow for patients
3. COVID-19 proactive, educational workflow for the general public
